The Solid Waste Management District (District)
is a County organization, established by State
law, responsible for ensuring that the County achieves
State mandated goals for recycling and waste reduction.

Waste Management District Staff
District staff is made up of four full-time employees
and two part-time employees who have over 36 years
of combined experience in the solid waste field.

Policy Committee
State law requires the formation of a local Solid
Waste Management District Policy Committee to
oversee the writing and implementation of the District’s
