The Hamilton County sponsored Computer and TV Recycling Drop-Off program officially closed for 2013 on October 26. This program will not resume in 2014. Below are "One Day Events" and "Year-Round Residential Electronics Recycling Outlets" for your use.

One Day Events:

GES will accept all electronic equipment at no charge, including TV’s and Monitors.  Small appliances also accepted such as microwaves, toasters.  No Freon containing devices or chemicals. Cassette, VHS, Beta tapes are only accepted if other electronics are dropped off.

5th Annual Players for the Planet Electronic Recycling Drive

Want to do something good for the environment, meet Reds players, and score tickets to a Reds game? The Cincinnati Reds and Players for the Planet are giving you several chances!      

From May 1-4, when you drop off your old electronics for recycling, you’ll get two free Reds tickets* to a game at Great American Ball Park. Plus, we’ll share tips for how you can make simple changes that benefit our environment, wherever you work, live, or play. 

Cincinnati Reds players will be on hand to help you recycle your old computers, cell phones, TVs and other electronics.

Players for the Planet requests a $10 donation per car.

*While supplies last. One qualifying donation per car.

Please note that The District has not audited all the facilities listed on this page. Before using any computer recycler, make sure to conduct due diligence on the company. You are ultimately responsible for proper disposal of electronic equipment. Recyclers should provide a certificate of recycling and be able to tell you where each piece of demanufactured equipment is sent.

Customers will be able to drop off up to two devices per day at any of the Minneapolis-based retailer´s 1,006 stores throughout the United States. They will accept most consumer electronics, including televisions and monitors up to 32 inches (console TVs not accepted), desktop computers, notebooks, videocassette recorders, DVD players and phones. Also accepted are hair dryers and flat curing irons (in most stores).

Appliances are not covered under the program.

C3 is a 501c3 non-profit accepting all computers, newer Pentium III and Pentium IV computers will be refurbished and offered to schools, nonprofits, students and/or seniors in need. Older or broken computers will be stripped and recycled. All hard drives are wiped or destroyed. TVs not accepted.

Cincy E-Recycling collects commercial and residential electronics. The things we recycle are computers, laptops, monitors (flat screen and CRT), televisions, financial/bank and medical equipment, rechargeable batteries, telephones (systems), cell phones, electronic circuit boards and components and more. We use Department of Defense data destruction equipment. We do pickups and also have drop off locations.

Accepts all electronic waste for residential and commercial, including computers, monitors, TV’s, printers, faxes, etc. (The Forest Park location only accepts material from residents.)

The Forest Park program operates from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

Materials accepted at no cost cost to the customer include keyboards, printers, fax machines, flat screen monitors CPUs, circuit boards, cables hard drives, lead acid and lead acid steel case batteries, electronic and magnetic ballasts, cell phones and other handheld devices and consumer electronics.

The following materials are accepted at a cost: CRT/tube monitors, TVs, straight fluorescent lamps and bulbs, compact and u-shaped lamps, high intensity discharge (HID) lamps and neon and incandescent lamps. Other items that have a disposal cost include alkaline, Ni-cad, nickel hydride batteries, lithium ion, lithium and zinc carbon batteries, mercury and silver oxides, PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyl), and medical devices.
