Allergies can be miserable for those who suffer from them. Certain trees that bloom in the spring release strange smells and potent pollen. Humidity and rainfall in the spring, summer and early fall months contribute to mold growth which may also aggravate people's allergies. Ragweed is a summer annual that is found throughout the United States and produces abundant pollen, a primary cause of hay fever. Being a hearty, noxious weed, it is not affected by diseases. Only herbicides or the lack of water kills the plant.
In an effort to aid those who suffer from allergies, the Southwest Ohio Air Quality Agency has compiled a free Living with Allergies
brochure. The brochure explains more about allergies, their causes and how to help ease the discomfort attributed to them. Please contact us to request a brochure.
